All,

I am taking an interest in the filters used in the SB-104 and A. There a
several sets of these filters used in many places in the 104(A) design.
There are also two different styles, one is a CL in series with a C to
ground and then another LC. Values for the CL and LC pairs are 20 pf and
8 uH. The value of the C to ground is 200 pf.

My questions are:

1. is there software that can simulate this pattern?

2. what is the effect of an additional serial L and C to ground on the
output? Is this impedance matching?

3. what is the effect of swapping the CL - LC pattern to a LC - CL pattern?

Thanks - Dan kb0qil
