I do not have an Acom, but any unbalanced antenna tends to be more 
problematic for RF interference than a dipole, beam, or other balanced 
antenna.  It might help to add a ferrite bead choke (similar to a bead 
balun) to the feedline near the base of the antenna to reduce the amount 
of RF on the outside of the coax.
