Step bits have their uses, but they don't always have the right size 
steps..............
they're expensive too, compared with using G clamps to hold things on the drill 
table.

And to cause confusion, tell the TSA guys you have a torch in your bag - 
because a 'torch' in English is a 'flash lamp' in American.........
