The units I have seen had bad servo motors. The grease 
inside was clogging them up.

There isn't ANY safe lubricant to use on  HV RF contacts. 
They should always be dry. You could lube the bushings and 
such with a very small amount of light grease, but I 
wouldn't spray or soak anything.

On the two units I've seen, I had to drill a tiny hole in 
gearboxes and put a small amount of WD-40 inside to loosen 
up the grease. Both units had sat a long time.
