This a follow up on the Class AB-D/E/F discussion from a week or so
ago.

I was explaning the equalization of the transmitter and audio path
delays problem to a friend, who knows the other half of DSP theory
that I'm unfamiliar with, and either I described the problem poorly,
or he misunderstood, and he thought that I wanted to replicate the
transmitter's group delay rather than compensate for it. Said
replication is quite simple to implement and is happenstancically
useful in this instance.

An impluse is passed through the transmitter and the resulting
response is recorded. The response is directly the coefficients of a
FIR transversal filter which will replicate the transmitters group
delay. This filter may then be inserted in the audio path to the
power supply. The transmitter input is delayed with a simple audio
delay line to match the power supply delay and viola, a matched group
delay envelope restoration system employing a stock transceiver as the
exciter.

I've drawn up a block diagram of the scheme. If anyone is
interested, I can send it direct as I can't attach it to a note sent
through the reflector.
