Eimac externally ties in pins pins 4,7, & 11 to the 3CX800A7's tube
grid ring. That's evident from examining the base of the tube.
Selecting any one of those three pins will effectively ground the
grid. The cathode (apparently) internally ties into pins 1,2,3,8,9
& 10. As a method to reduce undersocket wiring clutter, is it
essential to make connections to each and every socket pin to make an
effective connection to the cathode? Any comments would be
appreciated. Ron W2CQM/3
