Always interesting stuff on E-pay..I wonder how long the 3-500 lasts mounted
horizontal?? I've seen more than one die quickly from guys tryin to just
servive a 3-500 amp laying on it's side. And of course the spec sheet calls
for base up or down.

Large glass tubes have been known to fail just because they were stored
and/or shipped in a horizontal position!
