Hi Amp Fans:
I purchased the replacement bank of HV filter caps for my
SB 220 from Harbach several years ago and just now got around to
putting it in the amp. My question is do I need to
break them in by applying the voltage in steps with a Variac, etc.?
And if so, do I do this with or without the tubes in place?
I have a 110V Variac at my disposal, would only have to change the
shorting bar on the line input terminal strip to
get it set up.
Any help would be appreciated.
