[Amps] Tubes in Alphas

I'm wondering what the reasoning behind Alpha using different tubes in 
the manual and auto tune versions of their amps.  They are now using 
different tubes in the manual tune and auto tune versions.  The auto 
tune version (9500) uses the well known 3CX1500/8877 while the manual 
tune version  (8410) uses a pair of the ultra linear  4CX-1000 tetrodes.
