I have always used near pure isopropyl alcohol, which I obtained from an
electronics supply house, and Kleenex. You need to be real careful
wiping to avoid removing the lettering but the pure alcohol evaporates
quickly and leaves no residue at all. Window cleaner is a rather harsh
chemical. As for the aluminum on 813's, I would use the alcohol to
remove grime and leave them alone otherwise.
