But that is ham radio, creativeness not just carbon copy, step repeat, just add 
more and more amplifiers in parallel.
There are no Standardized designs. "We are the Borg, you will be...".

They have been around for a long time and I guess hams didnt do enough
building to keep them in business.

If hams were smart they would standardize on a couple of amp designs and
then buy ready made metal work with thinks like socket and meter holes
already done.
