Lots of stuff cost a lot more to ship due to hazardous chemical transport
charges.
I have had this problem lots of times.
If you can find it on ebay the charges are often not included simply because
individuals often
don't bother or know to have the post office apply them.
If you get it from a company they will always apply the extra charges.

I have an old bottle of Red-X TV Corona Dope manufactured by GC
Electronics in Rockford, IL. Unfortunately, it's many years old and is
mostly dried up.

I looked at the company website at http://www.gcelectronics.com/ and
found that they still make the stuff, $16.41 for a 2 oz. bottle, their
catalog number 10-5002.

They also have two other Corona Dope products, catalog numbers 10-4702
and 19-4702, both of which are rated for higher dielectric strength and
higher operating temperature than the 10-5002.
