...because you'll need at least 3 per leg and for a full bridge this will
make 12 diodes. Easier to look for TV replacement diodes

I think you need more than 2 KV. maybe around 9 KV  but I stink at
remembering the tech. details because I can't remember what I had for lunch
yesterday.  But why don't you just use 6A10s and be done with it.  No
surprises--and they're around 50 cents each.
