No, the amplifier was ready ... Yaesu have decided that they can not
sell the amplifier in the US at a profit. The Yen has increased about
20% vs. the US Dollar which would require selling the VL-2000 for more
than $10,000 US in order for Yaesu to make a profit when the Dollars
were converted to Yen.
Yaesu believe they can not sell enough VL-2000 at $10,000 to justify
building the amplifier.
