I read the original post as these were home assembled from kits, and
the original build manual / schematic showed an incorrect way to wire
the interlock? Or are they all commercially assembled units?

##  as far as I know, ALL  Ameritron   AL82/1200/1500 amps are commercially 
assembled units. 
They are NOT available  as kits. 

##  It’s a case of more fubar from  Ameritron.   A 20 msec step start delay is 
plane nuts.  120 msecs
would barely do it.   They don’t even step start the tube..just the B+.   On 
top of all that, the HV interlock
just open off one side of the 240 vac line.   That’s great, but is really 
should also chassis ground the B+ 
as well.
