Have you considered a grounded cathode amp? The drive power is much less than grounded grid, but even ten watts might not be enough. I don't recall any discussion of a GS-35B in grounded cathode but it's an interesting idea. You would of course have to add a neutralizing circuit, but for a single band amp that wouldn't be too difficult.
