Alpha has 3CX800A7's for $400.  That's not much more than 4CX800's.

Steve,

The 3CX800 is becoming a premium and "hard to get" tube... have you 
considered modifying the Alpha to use 4CX800 (GU-74B) tubes which are 
plentiful and cheaper?
