A quick and dirty look at the terrain around you can be performed  using 
the engine at this site:
_www.heywhatsthat.com_ (http://www.heywhatsthat.com) .    It's a stupid 
name, but a really helpful tool.

Several months ago, someone recommended a mapping  program that looked  
at the near field ground around a tower to  predict take-off angles and  
ground reflection gains.

I try to  keep important emails, but a search was unproductive.

If you know of  what I refer to, please email me off-list to keep the  
clutter  down.
