Hello -
I am getting Fault 21 on my Alpha 9500. The Fault Decoder Sheet from their
website says it has to do with the Cathode +40V bias PS. It suggests that
it might be a shorted tube. The tube is not shorted. I have checked it
(Chinese) and the replacement (new Eimac) I tried and neither is shorted and
both cause the amp to behave in the same manner:
ON/OFF Switch DEPRESS - ON/OFF Light comes ON
ON Switch DEPRESS - brief turn on, fans, lights, Cath PS starts up, ON light
comes ON - then the "ON" light goes out (ON/OFF Light still ON) and
everything shuts down.
The Alpha Remote Software appears completely operative at all times (and is
how I read the Cath PS)
No joy in contacting the new Alpha
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks!
