What are you folks using for grease, if any on roller inductors ? I have both
a RI-50..which has this green grease on it, when purchased new,
and also a RI-40... which has no grease on it.

Both rollers use .375 silver plated, edge wound ribbon for the inductor...
and .072 thick. A pair of gold plated contacts pinch each side of the
edge wound ribbon.

Will plane jane automotive type dielectric grease work for this application ?
Or should I use something more exotic like Dow corning DC-4 or DC-5 ?
Without any lubricant on there at all, they are just metal on metal..which I
fear will just eventually destroy the silver plated ribbon..and the
gold plated contacts.
