Probably RF parts tubes. The RF parts 3-500ZG tubes in my L-4B have 5 disc. Seems like the Amperex ones have 4 disc.  All of the Eimac plates I've seen were vertical and corrugated shaped. Eimac made some great 3-500Z's. Wish they still did...  But, I think the tube vs solid state amps has been covered before.
