<Agreed! 8877 is one the the BEST tubes for ham radio.

<LOTS of them out there and available. Hams bought many of them for
<spares that never got used; Because the 8877 was such a robust tube.
<Most 8877 tubes got babied... Except for contesting... But there is
<testimonial from K3LR's large and busy contest station below. So even in
<a contesting environment, the 8877 goes STRONG!

<8877/3CX1500A7 hard to beat!

<Thanks

## Buy the cheap 8877s while u can.

## ameritron wants $1080.00 for a chinese 8877. And an insane $2875.00
for an Eimac 8877. WTF ?

## Meanwhile a NEW greenstone 3CX-3000A7 is $769.95 from henry radio.
http://www.ebaystores.com/Henry-Radio/_i.html?_nkw=3cx3000A7&submit=Search&_sid=13685658

## Econco tells me they can now rebuild chinese and svetlana
3cx3000A7s.... + a ton of other chinese + svetlana metal triodes...and
 tetrodes.

## 3CX-3000A7 50 watts drive = 1500w out. Fil V can be reduced
by 15%. Tube last..forever.
