| I've run one in an AL80B, for testing purposes, while I was repairing 
the amp for another ham. 
I also plugged in a Philips equivalent of the 4-250A.
Both the 4-400 and the 4-250 worked OK but with lest output than the 3-500Z.
Suck it and see. You won't break anything by trying.
