There is an awful lot of knockoff software around.
HFSS is short for HIGH FREQUENCY STRUCTURE SIMULATOR.
It is a minimum $80,000 USD tool. Very expensive. We have it at work
Here. I do microwave antenna design as a part of my job. I've run
several Low frequency antennas through it just to get a feel for how
some of the other Smaller/cheaper simulators compare.
HFSS is a product of ANSYS. Other products are Ansoft Designer, which I
also Have here. Very cool tools, if you have the kilo-bucks to spend on
them.
