3V8, TUNISIA. 3V8AS continues to be active. This week the station was
heard on 28010 kHz around 1630z and 24900 kHz around 1320z. The operator
states to QSL via IK5GQM. Most feel this is a PIRATE, but WFWL.
4K, ANTARCTICA. Alex, UA3YAR, has been showing up regular on 14022 kHz
around 0100z signing 4K1YAR. He is operating from the Molodezhnaya Base
(4K1A). QSL to his home call.
FT8W, CROZET ISLAND. According to the DXNS, FD1NOG is a member of the
next crew who will traveling to Crozet. He will soon be active as FT4WD
on all bands CW/SSB. QSL via F6AXX.
KC6, BELAU. Two members of the Oklahoma DX Association (OKDXA) will be
active from November 25 thru December 1. John, NJ1V, and Jim, WV5S, are
expected to sign KC6VV and KC6SS on 10-80 meters. QSL via OKDXA, Box 88,
Wellston, OK 74881.
KH4, MIDWAY ISLAND. There will be activity from here the last week of
November by Bob, KD7P, and others. They will be signing /KH4 on all bands
and modes. QSL via P.O. Box 8265, MOU3, Dededo Guam 96912-8265.
TT8, CHAD. Ken, WA4OBO, is now active and has been heard on 24935 kHz
from 1400 to 1700z, 3790 kHz from 2300 to 2330z, 10120 kHz at 2250z and
14195 kHz at 2045z. Remember, he will be on the air as his work schedule
allows. He will be there for about 2 to 3 weeks. QSL via WA4OBO.
VK9, LORD HOWE ISLAND. Bill, VK4CRR, and others received the green light
to be active from November 18th thru 25th. The call sign to be used will
be VK9LD and operations will be on CW/SSB on the following bands: 10, 12,
15, 17, 20, 40 and possibly 75/80 and 160 meters. They have a weight
problem with the aircraft which may restrict the equipment for 75/80 and
160 meter bands. The usual SSB frequencies will be used, but for CW look
4 kHz up from the bottom of the band edge. Send QSLs to VK4CRR 1992 call
book address and Bill requests that IRC's or green stamps to help defray
costs.
VS6, HONG KONG. VS6WO will be active in the CQ WW CW Contest by Steve
(VS6WO/NA9D), Dave (WX3N), Mark (AG9A) and others. Mike, K9EC, (the QSL
Manager for VS6WO) informs OPDX that several DX bulletins have recently
published inaccurate information regarding the QSL route for VS6WO. The
correct (and only) QSL route for VS6WO is: VS6WO via K9EC, Michael Zeug,
9N317 Corron Rd., Elgin, IL 60123, USA. Mike states that the 1992
Callbook address is no longer correct.
Dave, WX3N, has been active as VR2/WX3N and has been spotted on: 3506
kHz around 1150z, 7004 kHz around 1130z and again around 2230z, 14167 kHz
around 1345z and 21012 kHz around 2300z. QSL to AA0CR.
ZL7, CHATHAM ISLAND. Ron, ZL1AMO, is now active as ZL7AMO until November
24th. As usual Ron spends most of his activity on CW, but has been heard
on RTTY. Check around 7003 kHz at 1145z and 0530z, 14027 kHz at 0445z,
18073 kHz at 0045z, 18150 kHz at 0130z, 24950 kHz at 0015z and on RTTY
around 2115z on 28086 kHz. QSL via ZL1AMO.
ZONE 2. Ron (K8NZ), Scott (NI8L) and Scott (WR3G), who are members of the
North Coast Contesters, will be joined by several local VE2 operators to
activate Zone 2 during the upcoming CQ World-Wide CW Contest. The operation
will be a limited multi/multi and using the call sign VE2CSI. The operating
site will be 15 miles east of Sept-iles, Quebec. At least two and possibly
three transmitters will be active using a tribander, 10 meter monobander
and verticals. Heavy emphasis will be on providing Zone 2 to as many as
possible during the contest period. QSL Manager will be KQ8M.
ITU NEWS. The ARRL DX Bulletin reported that a press release on November
4 by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), stated that the
Republic of Moldova (RO and UO) and the Republic of Bosnia Hercegovina
(YU4 and 4N4) have been admitted to the ITU.
OOPS! DEPARTMENT. Under "NEED TO UPDATE YOUR DATABASE", the line that
read "YU5 & 4N4" should have read "YU4 & 4N4".
SPECIAL NOTE FROM EDITOR: There will probably be no bulletin next week
(November 23). I will be away on personal commitments. Please keep

if I receive enough information before I leave.)
