--------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Note to Editors: "today" in the first message below refers to
Sunday, Feb 7. ]
As has been noted elsewhere on this system, Romeo, 3W3RR / AH0M,
paid a surprise visit to the YCCC meeting in Sturbridge, Mass. today.
Although he did have P5RS7 logs with him, please don't assume
that he also had QSLs, He didn't. The cards are still being printed
in Japan and the previously announced QSL information remains in force.
Over the next couple of days the documentation for P5RS7 will be
presented to the ARRL DXCC desk, and, we can hope, accepted.
I am extremely happy to announce that, at this meeting, Romeo joined
the YCCC. I know I speak for the entire Club in saying that we are all
very, very proud to welcome an individual of Romeo's stature and
accomplishments to membership in the Yankee Clipper Contest Club and
wish him great success in his endeavors in the future.
de Rich K2WR, President, YCCC
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
ON MONDAY THE DOCUMENTATION FOR THE P5RS7 OPERATION WAS SUBMITTED TO
THE LEAGUE FOR APPROVAL OF THE RECENT DXPEDITION TO NORTH KOREA.
DON'T EXPECT ANY DECISIONS MADE BEFORE MARCH 31, THEY HAVE ENOUGH WORK
AT THE DXCC DEPT. ANY ADDITIONS TO THE LIST WILL BE DONE AFTER THAT DATE,
IF I UNDERSTOOD EVERYTHING CORRECTLY. THUS, NO RUSH.
