I'm not amplifier-equipped for such "free-space RF mixing" experiments,
having only two 2-tube (and legal) 3-500Z amps at my disposal. But IF
I put up say, six 2-over-2 stacks on 8 different towers (coverage every
45 degrees), and fed EACH yagi with 1.5KW, then that works out to 24KW.
Let's assume that each yagi is way out there in the far-field, so we
"might" be able to avoid the destructive interference effects.
Now, say the major lobe of each stack fed this way is at some fairly
low angle, like 17-20 degrees. Now, let's put up a vertical with the
same radiation angle, and feed it with that spare 24KW amp.
I fail to see the difference....
