K1DG mentioned that the winner of the Radio Magazine WW DX Contest in 1939 was K6CGK on CW. One interesting piece of trivia, not mentioned by Doug, is that K6CGK was the pre-war call of Nose, KH6IJ, in Hawaii. Yep - Nose won the first WW! Jim, W6CF |
