Just a quick note to let you know I've made a few improvements to my WWW web
site. Here are the choices you now have from the home page. I've described
them below.

I have started a "photo scrapbook" which includes pictures from past
operations (PJ7, KP4, TG), my future bride, and any other pics that I decide
to throw in there.
* Contest Score Rumors
As the summaries are posted to the contest reflector by WB5VZL, myself or
whoever, I will try to make them available on my web site. These are not the
actual RESULTS, but rather the raw scores collected after each contest on the
air and also on the CQ-Contest reflector. I'll keep rumors available until
after they are printed in the magazine.
* Summaries from the Contest and DX reflectors:
When someone asks a good question, and gets a lot of good input, usually that
person will post a "summary" of replies. I've saved several of these over
the past year or so, and will be categorizing them and placing them as text
files you can access.
* Internet Resources for Contesters and DX'ers
Links to other Internet sites of special interest to contesters and DXers
(Dxpedition registry, last 25 cluster spots, last 25 WWV spots, various club
pages, etc.)
* Avant Garde Home Page
This is a "virtual shopping mall" with several businesses and services
represented, and is run by my friend Mark Dahmke. Mark is letting me have my
web space for free and it would sure look good if some of you would check out
this area as well. :-)
The web address is in my signature, below. A lot of this stuff is still
under construction, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

This was my first serious effort for WPX since beginning
contesting 2 years ago. Last year was spent doing WPX in
Mexico with 6E2T. It was also a good chance to "Burn-In" my
New/Used Alpha 374A. No longer would I have to bear the roar
of the Henry 2K blower hour on end!
Since 40 is my strong band for my limited installation
on my typical So Cal postage stamp lot and I can't lead
bottom like W6UQF, I figured having a day-dead band would
afford me good sleep time without missing much.
808 Qs X 365 Ps = 757,010 40M SO, No Packet, Hi Pwr, 30 Hrs
It was also a good test to see if I could toast any
traps on my Telrex Monarch ( 7 el w/ 3 el on 40M @ 72 ft).
By the way, I have a good fix for "Telrex Toasted Trap
Syndrome" if anyone is interested, drop me a line.
I was disapointed with the amount of JAs on 40, No
pile-ups yielded more than 3 or 4 JAs at a time. I think I
worked more Af than EU stations and had a pleasant surprise
when TR8XX answered my CQ with No. 001 ! I was able to run
ZS6s LP when I was running JAs. Activity from VK/ZL and Asia
was light.
After a good sleep I would start my 40M quest at 22:30Z
and since the band was just opening I had to try to break
through to the East Coast guys who had their rotables
pointed at EU. They were probably surprised to hear a W6
station trying to get through their EU pileup!
