It seems to me that a widget to measure exactly that is made for tensioning the
standing rigging on sail boats. An old friend with a trailerable boat was
telling me about his aquisition of just such an instrument -- but I wasn't
listening very carefully... Any sailors out there want to comment?

I recently tried to post a message to this list and was denied
access; I had to re-subscribe. Was it just me or is there a
more general problem?

Dear Skoch927007@AOL,

Your remarks could not justify an appropriate and proper response by
any normal person on this reflecter.

You owe an apology to all the participants in this contest, whether
operating from SF or all over this planet. We honor the ones chosen
and they respect their fellow peers who will show up to make this a
contest.

Your remarks really urinated me, and possibly many others. I don't know
where your coming from, but I know where your going. You will pretend
your the Emperer of Ethiopia, then you will take a tube of Highly Silastic
and rub it all over your body, whence you will return to "YOUR ROOM"
at AOL, and stick yourself to the wall!

Sincerely yours,

Dr. Bafoofnik **** (call witheld by reason of insanity)

Is this reflector getting to the point where it resembles...

"rec.radio.amateur.misc" ??

Lets see, we've had talk of (non-radio-related) government policy,
and "shots taken" at the WRTC. What's next: No-code pros and cons?

Come-on folks, this is the CONTEST REFLECTOR, remember?
("Can't we all just get along?")

And talk about contesting--which we all (hopefully) care about!

          Sincere 73, KB1GW
