Just a quick note to remind people the place to report scores
these days is 3830@akorn.net, just like 3830 kHz after the contest.
Jimmy Floyd has been graciously collecting the score reports from
3830 and posting them periodically to CQ-Contest in summary form.
The intent of this change is to keep CQ-Contest@TGV.COM more focused
on contest discussion, and less focused on score reporting.

New Utility for SOUNDCARD-Users !!! TNX Thomas, DL2OAP !!!
DL2OAP has developed an utility called RFZSOUND which provides a
soundcard-support of existing RUFZ2.12-version. Just copy RFZSND.EXE
(packed file) to existing RUFZ-directory, run RFZSND.EXE to unpack
and start RFZSOUND.EXE instead of RUFZ.EXE.
You can get RFZSND.EXE on the same way like RUFZ.EXE, look above ..

During the week of WRTC 96 there are several exciting social
events planned which will be open to all who wish to attend,
subject to capacity constraints. These events will give
both out-of-area visitors and bay area amateurs a chance to
meet the world-renowned group of 104 competitors and 21
judges who are coming together this July for the second
World Radiosport Team Championship.
As much as the organizers would like to extend an open
invitation to everyone, free of charge, financial
constraints simply don't permit it. In order to give as
many people a chance to share in the fun, though, the
organizing committee has decided to offer tickets to these
events at a reasonable price cost. The purpose of this
announcement is to describe the events and the attendant
ticket costs and explain how to make reservations for
tickets.
Icom Picnic at Coyote Point Park: 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on
Wednesday, July 10. This informal get-together will include
salads, hamburgers, hot dogs, beer, and soft drinks.
Competitors, Judges, Station Hosts, WRTC Sponsors, and WRTC
Committee will receive free admission; all others will need
to purchase a ticket. Cost per person: $15.
ARRL/TGV/Nokia Tour of Silicon Valley: Buses depart the
WRTC motel (Motel 6 in Belmont, CA) at 9:30 a.m. on
Thursday, July 11. Included will be a tour of the most
exciting hot spots in Silicon Valley: Ham Radio Outlet,
Force 12 Antennas, Fry's Electronics. Lunch included at an
area restaurant. Buses return to the hotel at 3:30 p.m.
Competitors and Judges will receive free admission; all
others will need to purchase a ticket. Cost: $20 per
person. NOTE: Capacity is limited for this event.
CQ/Cushcraft Tour of San Francisco: Buses depart the WRTC
motel at 9:30 a.m., also on Thursday, July 11, and travel
to San Francisco. A professional tour guide will escort the
visitors to some of San Francisco's most prominent spots.
Again, lunch will be included. Buses return to the hotel at
3:30 p.m. Competitors and Judges will receive free
admission; all others will need to purchase a ticket. Cost:
$20 per person. NOTE: Capacity is limited for this event.
NOTE: The two area tours on July 11 are scheduled
concurrently. You can go to one or the other, but not both.
Anybody who wishes to join one of the tour groups for lunch
only can meet the group at the restaurant and pay the
restaurant directly for their lunch.
Shell Oil Dinner: Busses depart the WRTC motel at 6 p.m. on
Thursday evening, July 11. The destination is the Shell Oil
Corporation Clubhouse in Martinez, CA. After viewing an
exhibition of modern emergency mobile communications command
posts, a catered dinner will be the centerpiece of the
evening's agenda. Competitors, Judges, WRTC Sponsors, and
WRTC Committee will receive free admission; all others will
need to purchase a ticket. Cost: $20. NOTE: Capacity is
limited for this event.
U.S. Tower/Tied House Poolside Beer Bust: From 12 noon
until 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 14 at the pool area of the WRTC
Motel (Motel 6 in Belmont, CA). Relax and unwind after the
contest with beer, soft drinks, and pizza. Competitors,
Judges, WRTC Sponsors, WRTC Committee, Station Hosts, and
Referees will receive free admission; all others will need
to purchase a ticket. Cost: $10.
HRO Awards Banquet: This gala event will be the high point
of the week's festivities. Who won the gold medal? The
silver? The bronze? Come to the Awards Banquet and find
out. This event will take place from 6-10 p.m. on Sunday,
July 14 at the Stanford University Faculty Club.
Competitors, Judges, and WRTC Sponsors will receive free
admission; all others will need to purchase a ticket. Cost:
$35. NOTE: Capacity is limited for this event.
Yaesu Napa Valley wine tour: Buses leave the WRTC Motel at
8:45 a.m. on Monday, July 15 and return to the hotel at 4:30
p.m. The buses go first to the San Francisco waterfront
where we depart for a ferry trip across San Francisco Bay to
Vallejo. Buses then go on to the Robert Monadavi Winery,
where guests will receive an escorted tour of the
facilities. Lunch will be at the V. Sattui Winery, and then
the afternoon will feature a tour of St. Supery Winery.
Competitors, Judges, and WRTC Sponsors will receive free
admission; all others will need to purchase a ticket.
Cost: $35 for the whole trip or $18 for lunch only. If you
only want lunch, you can pay the winery directly and will
not need to purchase a ticket from WRTC 96, Inc. NOTE:
Capacity is limited for this event.
The total price for tickets to each event is $135. However,
WRTC `96, Inc. will offer a package deal for all events at
$125.
TO ORDER TICKETS: Tickets will be offered on a first-come,
first-served basis, subject to some limitations, beginning
with this announcement. You may request reservations by
sending mail to AA6KX@worldnet.att.net. We will respond
with a confirmation to your request as soon as possible
after receiving your request. For U.S. residents, we will
then require receipt of payment within one week of sending
you confirmation in order to hold your reservation. Tickets
may be picked up at the WRTC Registration Desk in the lobby
of the WRTC Motel beginning Wednesday, July 11. Unreserved
tickets will also go on sale beginning that same day. All
unpaid tickets will go on sale on Thursday morning. NOTE:
For those events designated "limited capacity", certain
individuals (e.g. spouses of competitors) will receive first
priority in the allocation of tickets. For that reason, we
may not be able to confirm your request until July 11. If
you are connected with WRTC `96 in any way, please be sure
to indicate that fact in your reservation request. Be
specific!
Alternatively, if you are only seeking tickets for the
Wednesday picnic or the Sunday afternoon beer-bust, you may
purchase those on site as you enter the event.
