field day?

I know that Field Day is technically _not_ a contest, but it's close enough.
Here's a simple question:  Given a 2A station (i.e. W4ABC) with an
associated novice/tech station operating under its own call (i.e. KA4BCD),
does that nov/tech station exchange 1A (as it is only operating one 'A'
power rig) or send 2A (the designation of the parent group)?
