Hello All,
I have a Vibroplex keyer paddle, not iambic, with chrome base. No. 46826,
maybe a serial number. Don't see a model number. I know they are fairly
expensive at the hamfests or I would just get a newer one.
The jewel that holds the top of the vertical bar on which the paddle is
mounted is worn out or missing....dunno for sure.
I need to get repair parts to take the slop out of the mechanism.
Is the company still in business? Anyone know if they have an 800 number if
they still exist?
My cw is sloppy enough with a new set of paddles, with the Vibroplex, it is
much worse. hi Any suggestions? Would like to get it repaired before
contest season.....

Hello everybody,
After 3 weeks of waiting for comments Re. the idea of Radio
sport to become an Olympic sport I did not see any, unless I
missed them.
It is hard to believe that an "anchovies" subject creates a
land-slide of comments, but not this one...
I just hope that it did not go thru the first time. So, I am
sending them again and this this is the last time.

Hello Fred, Hello all interested HAMs,
Is Radio sport has something to offer the IOC? Yes, yes &
yes!
I would like to share with all of you an idea that I have in my
mind for years but was afraid to talk about.
In 1924 Winter Olympics became a separate event. I strongly
believe that in year 2000 (or 2004 as the latest) another event
can take place - TECHNICAL Olympic Games!!!
To start, they would consist of:
Radio sport (HF/SW Communications CW/PHONE/RTTY),
Motorcycle racing, Parachute jumping, Gliding and others
that you can add.
All of the above sports are Amateur-type sports thus meeting
the Spirit of the Olympic Games.
World-wide Amateur Radio community is large enough (over
a million HAMs?) to start lobbying IOC and try to be
recognized as an official Technical Olympic Sport. And if the
best OPs of the World (like WRTC-96 team members,
"old-timers" from YASME, OH2BH and others) will take this
into their capable hands and start this long and difficult
process, may be some day (I hope soon) Radio sport will be
recognized as an official Olympic sport. I would be glad to
participate in this process!
