Hi guys,
Does anyone know where the DX IS stories are archived. I was
collecting them, but my mailer crashed and I lost them all. Thanks and

During WW CW, I was thrilled to get a 10 meter zone 4 QSO from K8AZ. =
They were calling CQ and had just worked another W1 area station. We =
worked and the op said "Hi Randy" (so I am fairly sure they were talking =
to me!).

On 3830 after the contest, I told Tom (K8AZ) thanks for the multiplier. =
He said something funny like "you're not in the log." Hmmm...so I asked =
Ron to look. The message above is the response.

Since they were my only zone 4 on 10m I am handing the log checkers a =
freebie by making this public.

This style of operating is no good. I understand that multi-single in =
CQWW is really a 2 transmitter category. While I have never done it, I =
know some people feel it is OK to call CQ and work mults only on the =
multiplier band. However, there is something suspect about running =
stations on the second transmitter (even if they are zero pointers) and =
then claiming multi-single.

If you aren't going to put guys in the log -- don't work 'em!

Personally, I feel if you are multi-single you should only be running =
stations (i.e. calling CQ) in one place.

The CQ Committee is making great strides in applying computers to =
automate and improve the log checking process. Not-in-log QSOs are easy =
to find and cross check. The spirit of contesting is based on a =
cooperative effort between both participants in a QSO. How =
unsportsmanlike to take a "me first" attitude by only logging the QSOs =
that you want without warning the other participants.

Randy, K5ZD

PS - My log is already submitted with the K8AZ QSO in it. I know I =
worked 'em!

Same thing happened to me (sorta). I found IQ4A calling CQ TEST MULT de
IQ4A IQ4A. Well, I had to be a multiplier right? He worked me with someone
elses callsign.

I also dont think that this is what is meant by M/S, but unless the CQ guys
address it specifically, then it's not against the rules. There is nothing
in the rules that says the multiplier station can not call CQ.
