[CQ-Contest] feb na sprint dates

Unfortunately, the NCJ web page still has last years dates posted, so there
is a lot of ambiguity around.

It seems that the web support for contesting info is falling apart
everywhere except the ARRL web page. Unfortunately, the ARRL page only
lists complete rules for the contests that they directly sponsor. NAQP
and the Sprints sponsored by NCJ is left out for the most part. There are
lots of old rules, old links, ie. bad info leftover on some contest
calendars and large club web pages.

My plea to all webmasters is that you take some time out from adding new
links and edit the old ones! It's getting to be a real mess out there and
the amount of obsolete data is getting to be a real problem.

Hello all: There has been a lot of discussion on the reflector about a
NA sprint on Feb 15(UTC) conflicting with Valentine's Day. So far, I
have not seen any suggestion that this is an academic discussion since
there is no Sprint scheduled for Feb 15 UTC. This seems to be a date
published only in the CQ Magazine contest calendar, which shows the
sprint dates as Feb 8 and Feb 15. QST and the NCJ, which sponsors the
event, shows the dates as Feb 1 and Feb 8. The Contest Calendar by
WA7BNM in the Nov-Dec 1997 issue of NCJ, page 6, gives the dates as Feb
1 and Feb 8. So, unless there is a correction from the NCJ, which
Sponsors the events, there is no Sprint on Valentine's Day. 73, John,
K4BAI/8P9HT.
