Actually, 5B4 is in Asia, not Europe. However, it certainly has a BIG
advantage by working 6pt Q's into EU on the low-bands.

Let's see, where do we start?

The most recent listing I have is for the 1996 CQWW's. There are quite
a number of Europeans who have finished in the top ten World listings.
Please note, this list is for ONE YEAR ONLY. I'm sure the previous
years are similar, but I haven't checked.

1996 CQWW SSB - GI0KOW #9 World SOABHP.
1996 CQWW SSB - G4KIV #6 World SOABLP.
1996 CQWW SSB - EK4GK #8 World SOABLP.
1996 CQWW SSB - IR4R #9 World SOABLP.
1996 CQWW SSB - LY5A #2 World SOAB Assisted.
1996 CQWW SSB - IQ4A #5 World MS
1996 CQWW SSB - TK1A #3 World MM
1996 CQWW SSB - 9A1A #4 World MM
1996 CQWW SSB - M6T #5 World MM
1996 CQWW SSB - OT6A #6 World MM
1996 CQWW SSB - At least 29 Top Ten World finishes on Single Bands.
1996 CQWW SSB - 6/10 SOAB-QRP entries were Top Ten World.

Europe has 45 stations listed in the Top Ten World boxes.
The USA has 22 stations listed in the Top Ten World boxes.

1996 CQWW CW - CT8T #10 World SOABHP.
1996 CQWW CW - S59AA #5 World SOABLP.
1996 CQWW CW - DK3GI #10 World SOAB Assisted.
1996 CQWW CW - OT6T #4 World MS
1996 CQWW CW - EA6IB #6 World MS
1996 CQWW CW - 9A1A #2 World MM
1996 CQWW CW - At least 24 Top Ten World finishes on Single Bands.
1996 CQWW CW - 6/10 SOAB-QRP entries were Top Ten World.

Europe has 36 stations listed in the Top Ten World boxes.
The USA has 21 stations listed in the Top Ten World boxes.

EU has 81 Top Ten World finishes for the year.
USA has 43 Top Ten World finishes for the year.

I wonder when the scoring is going to be changed in CQWW to give the US
stations an advantage?
