Following up the previous comments on this Reflector:
A 20-mile radius for an ARRL "Local" club just doesn't work here in the
west and southwest. Even though our membership numbers fit that category,
several live further than 20 miles from the city around which their lives
are centered. Right now, we must exclude those members from our contest
efforts. (BTW, they have no alternative club to join). We need a 35 or 40
mile radius, and if necessary we're quite willing to accept a somewhat
larger membership limit, into which our club can grow. We hear good vibes
that extended limits and/or a new category are coming!
