The rules say operating and logging, so there is nothing wrong with another
person fixing equipment. If and when the rules are changed to operating,
logging and maintaining the station, then it would not be allowed. I doubt
that will ever happen though. If it did, then it would be logical to apply
the same reasoning to cooking meals, acting as a backup alarm clock, etc.
