As nice as the new rigs are, on the receiving end it is near impossible to
tell the difference between the guy using the old Heathkit or a top of the
line new unit if both are being used correctly. That being said, the new
rigs will give you some nice bells and whistles but improvement in your
antenna system will pay much greater dividends.
