[CQ-Contest] Hurting the WPX CW

Subject: [CQ-Contest] Hurting the WPX CW

Actually, there is another dimension to having the contests on a holiday
weekend. Surely this is not worse than having CQWW CW on the weekend after
Thanksgiving (most years). But a Monday holiday after a contest weekend
gives us a chance to return from our contest locations (such as at W4AN's
station, 3 1/2 hours' drive from here), rest up some, and not have to take a
vacation day or a day's leave from work. I may be in a minority, but I work
for the U.S. Government and a major contest on a weekend before a Monday
holiday is a big bonus for me. 73, John, K4BAI/8P9HT.
