CONGRATULATIONS to all of the 2001 winners and thank you to everyone who
participated.
The Contest Committee was very pleased to see a 57% increase in the total
number of logs received
for the 2001 contest, including a 60% increase in logs from Oceania. The
increase indicates that our
strategy to rejuvenate the contest is working. We are looking for even greater
participation in
2002 - especially from Oceania stations.
I would especially like to acknowledge the Committee who managed the promotion,
log checking and
distribution of the results for the 2001 contest - the Committee members are
VK5GN, VK3TZ, VK4UC,
VK2FHN, VK2AYD, VK1JDX, ZL3GA, ZL2BSJ and ZL1AZE.
The 2002 Oceania DX contest is to be held on the following dates and times
PHONE Contest: 0800 UTC Saturday 5 October to 0800 UTC Sunday 6 October
CW Contest: 0800 UTC Saturday 12 October to 0800 UTC Sunday 13 October

This will be the 66th Oceania DX Contest - lets make it the biggest and best
yet. Note that this
contest is a great opportunity to warm up for CQ WW! Please spread the word
about the contest and
encourage others to "have a go".
