Pete mentioned the fact that if a callsign triggers a memory (like K7RAT you
remember as
'RAT' or 'BZR' as 'BEEZER' or 'SX' as 'SEX' and so on.)
The key, as Pete rightly points out as well as others did too, is to get on, be
active,
and you will quickly become recognized after a couple of years. Your call will
start
showing up in master database lists, people who are regularly active contesters
will
recall your callsign - Especially if you happen to be a 'rare' mult or section
OR have a
'rare' prefix for WPX! (or happen to be L O U D like W3LPL HI)
