Gang,

Sorry for the confusion, here is the topic for Contesting on a Budget:

This issue's topic:

>From DC to light, we rely on wire to connect our peripherals to our radios,
our radios to our computers and amps, and our amps to our antennas, some of
which are wire antennas. Wires connect our rotors to the shack, connect our
computers and computer networks, tie in our packet capabilities and connect
power
to everything.

If you've checked the prices on coax, rotor cable, computer cable or even
stranded antenna wire lately, you'll likely realize that the cost of "wiring
up"
your station can be significant. What low-cost alternatives are available?
Where do you find cable bargains? How do you know you're getting acceptable
quality for the lower price? Do you purchase used wire and cable? Has the
CATV
industry been a personal boon to you? How will the move to wireless network
systems help or hurt the price and availability of cable and wire?

As always, thanks in advance for your inputs. As a hopeless wire junkie who
never met a bargain spool of wire he didn't buy, I look forward to hearing
from my kindred spirits.
