Last year I attended EU HSCW Championship in Ohrid, Z3 for the first time
and took part in recreational receiving test with OC Dave, K1ZZ.  We are
both experienced contest operators.  K1ZZ was better using keyboard while I
was handwriting in capital letters.  USA was #9 while S5 was #10 out of ten
participating countries :-)  Once the speed of text transmission went over
250 bpm, all I could recognise was pauses between five letter groups.  We
asked UA4 YL winner how she managed to receive almost 400 bpm?  Her answer
was very simple - practice!  Hearing theory claims that humans can recognise
10 msec sounds...
