This is an interesting thread. I hang out on 7040 or
so a lot times and hear nothing. When I call CQ, I do
make contacts and have a nice rag chew. I wonder if
we as ham radio operators need to take the time and
get on the air, GOTA Night. Sounds like ARRL FD
Hype, but there is a point of getting people on the
air in a non-contest way and getting activity on the
bands. For example,

The first week of the month....Monday is the night for
all of us to get on.

The second week of the month....Tuesday is the night
for all of us to get on.

So be it that way for the third and fourth weeks
cooresponding to Wendesday and Thursday. Friday, you
have off for a date with the spouse or family...and
the weekend would be for the regular contest if there
is one.

Lets have an internet award for WAS in 30 days, DXCC
in 30 days...or something like that. Compete against
your self.

Just some lame-brain thoughts.
