ah, once again its time to scrub the packet logs... first some general
statistics, then some spot pattern stuff, then some ip matching, and don't
miss the fun stuff at the end!

total spots 29324

Stations that got spotted 150 times or more:

DX Count
PJ2T 415
CU2M 263
PJ4R 261
V47Z 259
KC1XX 211

Spotters who made more than 200 spots:

think)

Spotters who made lots of spots for one station and what percentage of their
spots were for just that one station(aka the cheerleader list):
Read the one below like this... k8nd made 118 total spots in the contest,
43 of them were for pj2t which was 36% of the spots he made in the contest.

spotter dx Spots Total Pct
K8ND PJ2T 43 118 36.44

W3LPL-4 CO2JD 13 1290 1.01
K3LR CU2M 12 849 1.41

Am I surprised that w3lpl shows up several times, no... out of 1290 spots
they are bound to spot those stations several times, note that they are only
around 1% of their spots... the interesting ones are the high percentage
spotters who were possibly paying more attention to one station than just
spotting whoever they heard.

k2ut has his own node, why go to ve9emo-9 as a user?
Many of the users checked only had connected once to ve9emo-9, unfortunately
ip address information is not directly available... anyone know him or how
to extract ip addresses from dxnet software?
Other than that it sure is odd that lots of stateside users were connected
to a ve9 node and only made one spot in the whole contest from there.

I had a special request to find out how many times 5h3hk was busted. the
ones i found were:
5s3hk
5s3rk
hs3hk
5h3sk

the real busted spot winner i think was v47z that was spotted as:
v47v
v37z
vv7z
v4zz
v47k
3v7z
v4 (guess he gave up on suffix)
v47zz

8p5a was another good one as:
zp5a
9p5a
8p6a

lots of P confusion also:
p49y vs p40y
p40le vs p49le and p4le
ps2t vs p52t or ph2t or pi2t??
p43e vs p43et
pj2t vs pt2t or pj1t or maybe pj4r?
pj7/nd5s as pj2/nd5s, pj7/n5ds, pj7/nd5h

enough fun with databases for this contest... see you again in a couple of
weeks.
