W8UA and I went out to W6 in 1993 to tour contest stations and go to the
Visalia DX Convention. On the way up to the convention, in a caravan with
N6AA, N6ZZ, K3ZO, etc. we were treated to a detour off the freeway to visit
W6KPC's QTH and view this array. It was truly a spectacular sight - a 180'
structure with an upper rotating tower section supporting the upper two
pairs of 6L 20's, and the biggest rotating ring I've ever seen for the
lower pair. Oh yes, it was all self-standing.

At the time, Jim/N6TJ had just done SOSB20 from the QTH. I don't know if
the array if still standing or not (this WAS almost 12 years ago) but at
the time it was a local "tourist attraction" for the in-the-know hams on
the way to Visalia. When we visited, there was a continuous stream of cars
passing through to see the array!
