Hi John NE0P. For what it's worth I too have a straight IC-756 which I
am very very pleased with. I talked a friend into a second-hand 756 Pro
but he's finding now that I've moved 360 meters south of his QTH that
I'm overloading his front end. He doesn't bother me until I get within
20 KHz of his frequency and even then, if I turn the band scope off, I
can work even closer on CW. If it were me, I'd get the Pro-II or if I
had the cash the Pro-III.
