I have replaced two to date. They seem to last for about two years then burn
out. These are solder-in bulbs and are no easy trick to replace. I ordered
replacement bulbs from Yaesu and just took my time in the replacement
process. IMHO this is basic design flaw. These bulbs should be a quick user
replaceable part. Maybe someone else has an alternative suggestion.

Anyone have suggestions on the replacement of the backlight for my Yaesu
G-1000DXA rotor box? Mine went out. Dealers? LED?
Thanks
