Just to correct the arithmetic in an earlier posting

 >IARU 2005

 >QSOs made with own country

 >GB5HQ - 3120 out of 12 515 (app 30 % )
 >EM7HQ - 1976 out of 10 947 (app 20 % )
 >R9HQ - 1621 - out of 7 638 (app. 22 % )
 >SN0HQ- 8203 out of 17 584 (app. 45 % )
 >DA0HQ - app. 9 000 out of 19 900 (app. 46 % )

That's 25% not 30%. This year our percentage is below 20%. And
critically, we never ask Gs to come on and work only GB5HQ. We want them
to enjoy the contest and make as many QSOs as possible. I believe it is
unethical to work only your own country, and if the problem cannot be
addressed by any other means then I would support exclusion of own
country uniques, leaving it up to the adjudicators precisely how to
define a unique.
